Day 75:

Now that is what I call an Ontario mosquito! I was sitting down for lunch when I felt it land and I smacked it. At first I thought it was a mayfly or something but I picked it up and could see its huge nose (~1 cm long!!) It was a mosquito! It was the biggest skeeter I had ever seen so I placed it next to a quarter and snapped a photo for posterity. A woman walking by stopped to ask what I was doing. Well I showed her the bug and she said, "Hell soon, I've seen them a lot bigger than that!" Yikes! It is no wonder why they call the mosquito the provincial bird of Ontario.
