Day 15:

Ok, ok. I know I have been railing against all the idiots who get up close with the wildlife and then I go and take this picture. Well I saw this huge mass of vehicles crammed into a picnic spot so I stopped to take a look and I saw this elk just standing there eating. Well I grabbed my camera, and keeping at least TWO heavyset tourists between me and the animal I snapped this shot and continued on my way. That is the secret! You don't have to run faster than the animal chasing you, just faster than the slowest person in your group. Although I was wearing my fluorescent yellow cycling jersey…..
